![]() ![]() Sorcerer King: Rivals - Stardock games are terrible and so is this one. Side note: Humankind is shaping up to be a very solid game, though. The battle system is very difficult to understand, probably obscuring how actually shallow it is, the building and teching feel so-so, every faction is supposed to be wildly different and specialized, but I find it just ends up making it obvious how you should be playing each faction. I really badly wanted to like Endless Legend (and Endless Spaces 1 and 2), but I really couldn't get into it. Age of Wonders: Planetfall is also an incredibly solid game, and in my opinion blows AoW3 out of the water, though it's more sci-fi, so it's not what you're looking for.Įndless Legend - I find that Amplitude Studios has a way of creating art and lore that make their games look extremely interesting on paper, but then they play sort of janky and simple. I would strongly recommend Age of Wonders 3 if you're looking for a fantasy game. There is a lot of strategic depth and the game also does a very good job of making you feel powerful and giving you a sense of progression, growing your character, growing your armies, growing your magic, growing your heroes, etc. However, it's a *very very good* combat-focused game. Created by /u/Kryogenetics, it's a collage of some of the 4X genre's greatest games: Endless Legend, Civilization, Endless Space and Galactic Civilizations.Īge of Wonders 3 - Every time Age of Wonders if mentioned on this subreddit, I have to emphasize, it's a combat-focused game and the building portion of the game is going to look downright anemic compared to other games. ![]() If you have any questions about the rules or need clarification please do not hesitate to message the moderators and ask!. ![]() Please do not post subsequent episodes or parts.
